From 18 to 27 February 2025, Ir EUR ING Ts Dr Lau Chee Yong, Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering (SoE), Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), embarked on a significant academic journey as a visiting professor at the KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET) in Tamil Nadu, India.
APU’s representation was further strengthened by Assistant Professor Ir EUR ING Ts Dr Lau Chee Yong from the School of Engineering (SoE), who participated as a panellist in Session 6: When IEC Young Professionals Speak… on Day 2 of the ASEAN Electrotechnical Symposium & Exhibition (IESE).
In a proud and defining moment for Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Assistant Professor Ir EUR ING Ts Dr Lau Chee Yong from the School of Engineering (SoE), and Head of the Visionary AI Studio at APU, has secured the prestigious Digital Society Research Grant (DSRG) from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
Two distinguished faculty members and two student research teams from the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) were recognised for their outstanding achievements at the Einstein Research Academy (ERA) Asian Research Excellence Awards 2025 ceremony, held on 10 October 2025. The event celebrated research excellence across Asia, highlighting projects that advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
